In 2006, Wang Xing, a nationally known painter living in the Chinese city of Jiang Yin, demonstrated for a group of Professor I-Hsiung Ju's students from the United States. For two days Professor Wang painted bamboo, flowers, birds, fruit and fish and answered our questions through an interpreter. A virtuoso with the brush, he showed us that there were many different ways of interpreting the traditional subjects.
